1 Packing Cubes
First of all, where have these been all my life?! I envy people who can pack for several weeks in a carry-on. This is something I am working on, but I am guilty of over packing and these cubes have saved my life! They benefit both the light packer and the overpacker! Let’s talk about it:
- Saves space (extra tip: roll your clothes)
- Keeps everything organized
- You never have to fully unpack, just pull each cube out as needed
- Atleast 5 cubes (2 large, 2 medium, 1 small) fit in to an average size suitcase
- Great for light packers, cubes fit right in to carry on bags and duffle bags
2 Portable Charger
I’m sure you see this all the time, but what is worse than arriving at your layover destination for 2 hours with a dead phone and everyone and their momma is hogging all of the charging stations! It’s happened to me many times before. So don’t be like the old me…get yourself a portable charger! They also come in handy in emergency situations.
3 Toiletry Bag
This is perfect for both make-up and toiletries. The hook makes it so convenient to just hang up and grab your items as you need them.
4 Bright Luggage Tags
Save yourself the hassle of searching long and hard for your luggage. Bright colored luggage tags or tassels will help your luggage easily stand out
5 Travel neck Pillow, eye mask, and ear plugs
These are a lifesaver on those long flights when you want to catch some zzz’s. Those seats are not the most comfortable in the world, therefore added support of a neck pillow really helps! The eye mask and ear plugs come in handy when you want to shut out all the noise and get some much needed relaxation.
6 First Aid Kit
Just a few of the essentials can go a long way while traveling. Imagine being in a foreign country with a language barrier and trying to read medicine labels in another language. Try to pack a small emergency pouch full of items that can help you in an emergency. Think pain and fever relievers, meds for upset stomach, allergy medicine, bandages, eyedrops, meds for motion sickness just to name a few.
7 Travel passport Wallet
This two in one travel accessory not only keeps your passport safe but is also a place to stash all of your important cards and money while traveling. This helps when you want to keep everything in one place that you can easily have access to.
8 Lysol Anti-bacteria and Disinfectant Spray
While we may book some of the finest 5 star hotels please don’t forget about all of those documentaries on T.V showing you just how dirty a lot of those hotels can be. For your own sanity, and health, pack some Lysol and spray like your life depended on it. Hit the sheets, doorknobs, handles, remotes, carpet, bathroom, walls, ceilings… I think you get the picture. They even have convenient travel sizes.
9 Hand Sanitizer
It’s always a good idea to travel with a small bottle of hand sanitizer tucked away in your purse or pocket. Stay germ free at the airport, and also when you pull over on the side of the road to grab a meal.
10 Misting Spray
Hydrating spray is great for your skin especially after a flight in high altitude when the air is trying to dry you out.
